There are few ways for you to get to Sayulita from the airport, or Vallarta. First is the Bus. The bus is about $25pesos (approx $2us) and drops you off at the bridge in town. You can either walk to the hotel or take a cab from there. If you have lots of luggage, you may be better off taking a cab. You can find small yellow cabs at the airport, the price (and comfort/safety) varies! Our local Property Manager and Concierge, offers to book your transportation for you. Our trusted Car service will personally pick you up at the airport as you exit customs and enter the airport proper. They will have a sign with your name on it, help you with your bags, take you to the grocery store outside of Sayulita and then bring you right to me! Easy. Its $130 for the round trip, as they pick you up on your (sad!) last day, and take you to the airport or your next destination.
The wedding planners we would recommend would be : Sayulita Dream Weddings – Andrea Villarrubia http://www.sayulitadreamweddings.com and Sayuilita Weddings - Luz Ochoa http://www.sayulitaweddings.com/ Both planners work with Don Pedro’s http://www.donpedros.com/en/ which has a great wedding and reception event area and provides all the catering.
Villa Amor is a condominium complex of individually owned villas. When not occupied by the owners the villas are the hotel’s rental inventory. From this website, www.hotelvillaamor.com , guests rent directly from the owners. Our goal is to give competitive pricing, more amenities and personalized service. A local property manager serves as concierge to the guests staying at the independently rented villas---arranging transportation, activities, and excursions. The villas on the other website are rented through a onsite property management company. The villas-rented-by-owner and the villas-rented-by-management-company are intermixed on the property of Villa Amor. Once on the grounds, all guests have full use of the common grounds, restaurant and bar.
The only thing that is different is that we do not use the front office, as we are independently owned and operated Villas on the ground of the Villa Amor complex. Our management team meets and welcomes all our guests personally. We have our own maid team, and concierge, plus lots of great amenities as you can read on our amenities page.
Our rooms all offer drinking water, beach supplies such as boogie boards, beach chair, beach towels and more. We have great kitchens or kitchenettes, depending on the room. Most have a microwave, or stove top, glassware, plates and more! We offer daily maid service in most our rooms, if not they are 3 times per week. You can see a full list on our Amenities page.
YES !!!!! Villa Amor is currently constructing a common area pool – completion should be October this year.
Absolutely, we have San Onofre style waves without the crowd and with warm water!
Sayulita is a surf town, and there are many places in town and along the beach to rent boards which makes it very easy. Most surfers want a certain size board, so look around, find what you like, and discuss the price. If you are here for more than a few days, they will often give you a deal, and even hold the board for you at night.
Yes! While there are occasionally jellyfish and smaller stingrays in the sand on rare occasions, we have no large predators in our bay. The bay is frequented by thousands of visitors every year, and more to come!
No! This year we experience a historic change, where the 2 states of Nayarit and Jalisco around the Bay of Banderas lined up their time zones. Sayulita and Vallarta are now on the same time.
Sayulita is a very safe town! Your biggest worry walking around Sayulita in the evening is tripping over a bump in our roads, as we they are not all paved! Sayulita is not a violent crime town, and there are very few reported problems of this type. Say "Hola!" to everyone, they are sure to say "Hola" back!
None of our Rental by Owner villas have ever been robbed, and while petty theft happens sometimes in Sayulita, it is mostly reserved for the larger homes on the beach, and cars. Our location, nestled in the Villa Amor hotel grounds allows for many eyes to protect the grounds and villas, not to mention the staff of the hotel, and the Rental by Owner staff is always vigilant. Lastly but most important, all our villas have a personal safe inside, for keeping passports, and any other items you want to lock box. We always suggest to our guests to always use the safe provided.
No! The crime everyone hears about on the new in the U.S. is far from our shores, and we do not feel the affect of this at all in our town.
